CLUB OF BOLOGNA: A WORLD TASK-FORCE ON THE STRATEGIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF AGRICULTURAL MECHANISATION
The Club of Bologna has been established in 1989, as a
free association, on the UNACOMA's initiative and support, and under the
auspices of CIGR, with the goal to convene, almost once a year, the highest
international experts on mechanisation in order to discuss subjects of a
preminent importance for the development of the agricultural machinery sector
in various countries. Each meeting discusses various view points based on
the specific experiences acquired in the different main areas of the world
and, at the end, it elaborates conclusions and recommendations to be submitted
both to the National Governments, to the International Bodies and to the
research, agricultural and manufacturing people for the actions to be undertaken.
In the Club 48 countries are represented and 102 are the Full Members, belonging
to research bodies (69%), industry (15%) and International Organisations
(17%). This in addition to 18 Corresponding Members interested to follow
the activity.
The Club is managed by a Management Committee composed
by 16 representatives from 10 Countries (9 European, 3 American, 1 Asian,
1 Australian) and 2 International Organisations
The Presidency and the Technical Secretariat
of the Club are located at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering of
University of Milan, while the Administrative Secretariat
is in Rome, at UNACOMA.
